I Want To Ride My Bicycle

Photo: Sarah Orr (sarahorrphotography.ie)
Coat / ASOS , Fedora / H&M , Brogues / M&S
Laces / American Apparel , Skirt / New Look
Bicycle / Dawes Duchess

I love this photo taken by Sarah Orr for U Magazine a few months ago. I totally forgot about writing a post about it until now!

I had just bought this bike and really wanted it to be in the shot because I became so obsessed with it. It's made by Dawes and is suitably named the 'Dawes Duchess'. We are always looking for new ways to keep fit and cycling a bike rather than driving to your destination is a fun way of doing just that! Since I've bought it I have seen so many girls cycle around on them wearing the cutest outfits! The low crossbar mean there's no hassle getting onto the bike in a skirt and the wide handlebars allow you to sit up straight while cycling. However the bike is a city bike which means it's a lot heavier than hybrid/racer/mountain bikes and does not suit rough or mountain terrain. Not a bike for the cycle fanatics but for the cycle fashionistas and believe you me it does keep you fit!

Have a great weekend!

Geek Chic

Coat / River Island , Scarf / Parfois , Bag / Mulberry
Boots / ASOS , False Glasses / Jeepers Peepers @ ASOS
Watch / Michael Kors , Assortment of Rings / Penneys H&M Topshop

I wore this outfit on Saturday heading out shopping and for dinner. It was quite cold and rainy out, this outfit kept me warm and is super comfy for running around the shops but yet is stylish enough to wear out for a meal afterwards! I was so disappointed coming back to the awful Irish weather after being away in the sun all week!

I love my new scarf from Parfois that I got in Portugal last week. The print is so amazing and the quality is fantastic. It was such a bargin at only a tenner!!!

I bought the fake specks a month ago from Jeepers Peepers on ASOS. I know a lot of people aren't fans of these glasses but I think they are fab! They are so funky and add a totally different look to an outfit!

Hope you all like my outfit!
Have a great week!

Dublin Flight-Fest 2013

Today Dublin hosted the biggest fly-by-festival in Irish aviation history!

My boyfriend and I usually plan fun dates on Sundays so we decided to pop in to have a look at Dublin's Flight-Fest taking place along the river Liffey in Dublin city.

The event kicked off at 2 o'clock so we decided to head in at 1 to soak up the atmosphere before the show. We arrived to pouring rain and ferocious wind, but with a bit of luck of the Irish the rain pushed off just before the event started! Music acts, face painters, street performers and food vendors entertained the crowds prior to the event. Freebies such as sweets, balloons and key rings also provided amusement.

It's estimated that over 100,000 spectators turned out!!! I couldn't get over the amount of people there and the range of aircraft on display, from the most modern commercial planes and the worlds largest jumbo jet to old World War II fighter planes. I don't know the first thing about planes but I really enjoyed this event, however, I felt the build up was far more exciting than the show. The chill got to us by 3 o'clock so we watched the planes go overhead as we walked back down the quays to O'Connell Street.

We popped into Forever21 for a 'quick' look and I ended coming out with 2 shirts, a vest and a dress!! TYPICAL !! (I will show you them in a haul blog soon). We finished the day with a burrito from my new favourite burrito bar, Boojum. Yum.

Hope you all enjoyed reading about my day at the Flight-Fest,

Have a great week,
