This is a typical casual outfit for me. It's super comfy but still looks fashionable. I'd wear this look to the cinema, out shopping or for a casual stroll.

Here's a little instagram selfie of me wearing my berry hat and blazer while shopping in Urban Outfitters.

Have a great weekend!

Parfois Comes To Dublin City !

Yesterday I attended a blogger event celebrating the opening of Parfois on Mary Street in Dublin. I was so excited by this after having stumbled upon the shop in Portugal during the summer (I spent all of my holiday money here)!

Greeted at the door I was welcomed in and given Butlers hot chocolate to warm up from the cold!
I was immediately taken by the bright, modern and dazzling open space full of every type, style and colour of accessory a girl could ever ask for!

For those of you whom have never heard of Parfois before, it is a very on trend accessories shop that prides itself on its affordable, high quality products.

The collection hosts everything from grunge cut out boots, to lady like pearls, to jet-setter weekend bags, the list goes on and on. The icing on the cake is that prices start from as little as €1.50! (The most expensive item being €55, a large patent faux croc weekend bag with wheels, stunning)! Plus they have weekly stock drops which ensures products are fresh, new and fashionable.

Here is a taster of some of the products available in store now:

The event was hosted by the gorgeous Anouska, who presented her favourite Parfois picks

How gorgeous are these nails!?!

I recently received these Little Mix Leigh-Anne, Jamaican inspired false 'press-on' nails from the gorgeous Ciara Cummins at Slatterys Communications. Not only do they look fantastic but they are such an innovative product.

Rather than using harsh glues to glue on the nails, they are 'pressed-on' using double sided adhesive tabs! They are faaaaar less damaging on the nails than glue and are so easy to apply!

The pack contains 24 nails (10 various sizes), a nail file, instructions and 24 double sided nail shaped adhesive tabs. To apply, firstly your nails are cleaned, an adhesive tab is placed ontop of your own nails and smoothed out. The outer protective foil surface of the adhesive tab is removed revealing an adhesive area in which the false nail is placed upon. With a bit of pressure press the false nail down ontop of your own nail (this is believed to activate the sticky tab and secure the nail).

On the box it is said that the nails last up to 5 days but on the instruction leaflet they are said to last 7 days, I was curious as to which one was true. However my nails only lasted 2 days, which I was very disappointed with as I had fallen in love with these nails. I put this down to the fact that my work is very hands on,I am constantly wearing surgical disposable gloves and washing my hands. The best thing is they didn't damage my own nails or leave any residue on them!

This product definitely gets the Laura Loves seal of approval. I would buy these nails again but I'd make sure to wear them for special occasions only.

Have a fabulous weekend!

U Magazine Fashion Diary

On the 9th of November I did a "fashion diary" photo-shoot with Sarah Orr Photography for Ireland's U magazine. It was a day long event in which I had to pose for 10 photos with 10 different looks. I had spent the week prior to the shoot planning, organising and getting my outfits together. The day itself was exhausting but thoroughly enjoyable!!!

The photographer, Sarah Orr, was lovely, so patient and very talented. I was sent the photos the next day making sure I liked them. Needless to say I loved them. I was given a few days to send the captions to U magazine. I felt totally in control from beginning to end. The magazine went on sale last Tuesday the 26th of November and I'm delighted with how it turned out.

It was great experience and will be something I'll cherish for years and years.

Hope you all liked it !!!

My Favorite November Buys

Wow! I cannot believe it's December already!

I just wanted to do a little post for you guys to show you some of my favourite pieces I bought during the month of November. I am trying to save my money for Christmas so didn't go too mad in the shops but I picked up some really great pieces for great prices.

Penneys (Primark) Boots €22 on sale for €9

I couldnt believe it when I saw these in Penneys, they look like top dolla designer boots! I nearly fell over when I saw the price, €22! An absolute steal for these boots! There was a big red marker through the price and below it read €9!!! Wowza! Plus there was plenty of sizes available. I love the colour of them, they are unlike any shoes I own.
Then I saw them in black.. of course I had to own them too!

Penneys (Primark) Boots €22 on sale for €9

River Island Cut Out Boots €60

I had been looking for the perfect pair of black boots for 4months (not joking). I saw these in River Island and fell in love. They come as above, in patent black and in navy. I bought them at the beginning of the month and when I brought them home I realised the sole was torn. A week later I brought them back to exchange them and felt so lucky getting the last pair of size 5s. When I brought them home this time I realised the hinges on the buckles were really loose (see the clasp on the right boot in the above picture is sagging). It obvious the boots are of poor quality but I just love them so much I had to keep them regardless.

Kurt Geiger (House of Fraser) €100

I was still on my quest for the perfect boot when I saw these studded suede babies in House of Fraser. They are just beautiful. I tried them on and was told that they were the the last pair of size 5s available in the store (that sales pitch works wonders on me). There was also a two day 25% off everything event on so I picked them up for €75. Which I think is a fantastic price for these. They are just stunning in real life and so versatile. I get loads of compliments about them when I wear them, even from strangers!

Penneys (Primark) Kimono €17

Penneys have loads of great kimonos on sale at the moment in loads of colours, shapes and styles. I picked up this one recently. I love everything about it, the colours, design, shape, feel, it has it all going on! I know I will get a lot of wear out of it.

Penneys (Primark) Velvet Skirt €11

Another great November purchase from Penneys is this burgundy skirt. One of the work girls wore the black version into work one day. It was gorgeous. She kindly picked it up for me in burgundy! Delighted. A skirt like this looks gorgeous with thick black tights and a thin jumper or shirt tucked in.

Urban Outfitters Velvet Shift Dress €89

I already own 2 of these shift dresses from Urban Outfitters. They are so easy to wear and can be dressed up and dressed down to suit any occasion. I love the crochet collar on this one and the print, it reminds me of an old couch cushion we used to have in the 90s when I was growing up!

Zara Mix Floral Shirt €29.99

This shirt is a bit out there. It's hard to see in the picture but the top half is actually ditsy floral print. I have received loads of complements about it which I wasn't expecting! It looks gorgeous with blue jeans or with a vintage oversized demin jacket thrown over it.

Topshop Socks €5 each €12 for Three

I have piles and piles of these socks. I literally only buy Topshop socks now I'm obsessed. When I saw these I just couldn't resist.

Cherry Carmex Lip Balm €2.99

When it hits minus degrees outside I suffer from chapped lips and this is my saviour. Plus it smells amazing. Its definitely the most essential beauty product in my makeup bag for winter.

Most items are still available online and in some stores.
Hope you all liked what I bought?
