WOW What a stunner of a day!

Today I went to a little open food market in a nearby park for brunch because the weather was so so lovely. I got a coffee and a Falafel wrap, OMG YUM I'm officially addicted. I also stocked up on fashion mags for the week :) and watched the all Ireland G.A.A final between Dublin and Mayo.

I got this dress in Om Diva at the beginning of summer and I'm so in love in with it. Its really easy to wear and can be worn rocked up (with a black leather jacket, chunky belt and boots) or styled super girly like I did for this shoot. It ticks all the right boxes for me, the midi length, the bows on the shoulders, the chiffon material, the semi-sheer top, the print and the cinched in waist. I paired it with my Folkster floral crown and stuck to minimal jewellery to complete the look.

Hope you all had a great weekend and have a great week ahead.

Flight-Fest OOTD

Wax Jacket / Zara , Stripe Breton Tee / Topshop Jamie Jeans / Topshop
Scarf / Vintage (My Nanna's), Cut-Out Black Boots /Aldo
Necklace /Topshop , Cross Rings / Forever21
Chain Midi Ring / Topshop , Point Midi Rings / River Island
Watch / Guess , Camera / Nikon

For those of you who read my Flight-Fest event review know that it was raining, windy and really cold. I knew I wanted to wear something warm, but I also wanted to wear something kind of nautical for standing around by the river Liffey :)

So, I went with my trusty Jamie jeans and my ridiculously comfy stripe Tee. I paired them with my black cut-out boots and the newest member of my coat family, a Zara wax jacket (with tartan lining ohhhh yeeeeaaa) !!! I threw on some gold jewellery and completed the look with a very whimsical vintage navy and gold printed scarf that belonged to my Nanna. I loved the way the dominant navy colour of this outfit was complemented by all of the gold accents scattered by the accessories.

Hope you all liked my nautical inspired Flight-Fest look,

Have a great week,

Dublin Flight-Fest 2013

Today Dublin hosted the biggest fly-by-festival in Irish aviation history!

My boyfriend and I usually plan fun dates on Sundays so we decided to pop in to have a look at Dublin's Flight-Fest taking place along the river Liffey in Dublin city.

The event kicked off at 2 o'clock so we decided to head in at 1 to soak up the atmosphere before the show. We arrived to pouring rain and ferocious wind, but with a bit of luck of the Irish the rain pushed off just before the event started! Music acts, face painters, street performers and food vendors entertained the crowds prior to the event. Freebies such as sweets, balloons and key rings also provided amusement.

It's estimated that over 100,000 spectators turned out!!! I couldn't get over the amount of people there and the range of aircraft on display, from the most modern commercial planes and the worlds largest jumbo jet to old World War II fighter planes. I don't know the first thing about planes but I really enjoyed this event, however, I felt the build up was far more exciting than the show. The chill got to us by 3 o'clock so we watched the planes go overhead as we walked back down the quays to O'Connell Street.

We popped into Forever21 for a 'quick' look and I ended coming out with 2 shirts, a vest and a dress!! TYPICAL !! (I will show you them in a haul blog soon). We finished the day with a burrito from my new favourite burrito bar, Boojum. Yum.

Hope you all enjoyed reading about my day at the Flight-Fest,

Have a great week,

Wishing for a Never-Ending Summer

Hat / H&M , Maxi / Awear , Sunglasses / Topshop

I cannot believe summer is over!

Yep it's officially Autumn and its freezing!!! Just as we were getting used to the warm, humid climate suddenly we have to welcome the rain and the cold again. Although I prefer Autumn/Winter fashion (layering pieces and wrapping up warm) I would love to live in a warm predictable climate. I've learnt to expect the unexpected when it comes to the current weather, packing my sunnies and sandals along with my wellies and rain mac!

Its just typical that I have been looking for a floppy sun hat for the whole summer and just as summer has ended I found one today in H&M!!! So I decided to do an OOTD featuring it with a summer look as I mightn't get another chance until next summer. Bummer. The hat is made from 100% wool and is jet black (picturing as an off black). It comes in sizes medium and large and its a relaxed material so can be pulled and shaped any way to frame your face. I love this hat because its so versatile and will suit any weather. I cant wait to introduce it to my Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

Thanks for reading,
Have a great week.

Get Glow

Oh My God how much do you love these
novelty glow in the dark nails?

(Apologies for the poor picture quality)
(I took these photos off my iPhone at night)

I got these glow nails as a birthday prezzie from my brother Jason and his gorgeous girlfriend Sarah two weeks ago. I was so excited to use them I put them on straight away with no base coat. The colours on their own are very translucent. So I took it off and redid them today, using two coats of white polish as a base coat before applying two coats of the glow nails. The white polish helped bring the colours out, the yellow and pink are both really bright (not coming across in the picture) and the blue is more like a baby blue. I like the variety of colours you get in the pack, and love that they all glow different colours.

To increase the glow intensity all you have to do is hold your hand up to any light source for a few seconds.

These nails definitely provide the wow factor and a conversational piece for a night out
They would also be a fantastic look at a  festival.

Has anyone else tried these nails?

Chilly Trotters (The Black Boot)

So unfortunately we are moving into the cooler seasons and being from a cold, wet climate I would always invest in a good pair of boots to keep the tootsies dry and warm.
Black boots are a must have staple in your footwear collection and I'm still looooooving the cut out trend this season. There are plenty of styles available in high street stores already.
Above are some of my favourites available right now!
Happy shopping!!!

(ps. warning - avoid puddles in these boots)
