A Taste of Mexico

Last weekend myself and the boy went for a wander around town because the weather was so nice, until it turned on us!!!

We decided to try out this new Mexican food place in Smithfield called Kchido. I had to take a quick outfit snap because I loved the street art!

Ankle Grazer Jamie Jeans / Topshop (here)
Cat Eye Sunglasses / Topshop (here)
Sleeveless Collared Shirt / American Apparel
Western Waist Belt / ASOS (here)
Lace Up Sandals / Penneys Primark (in store now)

Kchido is a hipster's paradise where food is ordered from a standalone food truck based in a cool garage setting. The atmosphere is laid back with pallets crafted into benches and tables, painted in multicolour while blankets and cushions add comfort to the equation.

The food was delish and worth a trip while there's fresh coffee on site too for all you caffeine addicts! As for me, while I loved my quesidilla. But I still see myself back in Boojum for my fave Mexican fix next time I'm in the area.

Hope you enjoyed this outfit of the day come food review post!!!

Quick & Simple Storage Idea

This cute storage idea is literally the best thing ever and it's so cheap, quick and simple. All you need is:
Mason Jar- I got mine for €1.50 in IKEA
Assorted ribbon of choice- I got mine in Hickeys but recently picked up more in Tiger stores approx €2 per ribbon roll
Cut a long section of ribbon and tie it in a bow around the lid of the bottom section of the jar! It's that quick and simple, but the result is gorgeous. I doubled up the bow using a different style ribbon in the same colour.

I made one for my make up remover cotton pads and one for my cotton buds. They just look so cute on my dresser! Plus closing the lids prevent dust settling on the cotton pads. It really helps declutter and organise my dresser.

Hope you enjoyed this little storage idea. Let me know if you want more tips.

Have a great week!

70's Vibes By The Sea

I'm just in love with my new mini skirt!!! There's such a 70's vibe off the print and we all know the 70's trend is super hot right now! For my latest look I have gone for a very toned down version of this trend.

Pairing my busy print skirt with this crisp white sleeveless shirt makes the outfit fresh and ready for the summer sun. The shirt has the cutest bow attached around a peter pan collar. It's already become one of my favourite wardrobe staples for summer!

Hope you all enjoyed my latest look.

Have a great weekend.

Emma Hardie Cleansing Cloths

These facial cleansing cloths are amazing!

I wasn't on the market for cleansing cloths or should I say I didn't realise I was on the market for them until the sample caught my eye while I was having a little nosey around Space NK in Dublin City.

The box of 3 cleansing cloths is only €12, you may think this is bonkers because they look just like face cloths but believe me they are so much more than that...!!!

The dual sided facial cleansing cloth works with your cleanser enhancing its benefits while gently refining and exfoliating your skin.

The muslin side helps remove any leftover cleanser residue, makeup and dirt while gently exfoliating. While the super soft microfibre side is gentle on sensitive areas and further removes residue and makeup.

Using upward strokes the cloths help improve skins appearance and elasticity and are great on any skin type, dry, oily, aged, you name it.

After using the cloths my skin definitely looks brighter, more radiant and feels super clean!
The cloths can be used both morning and evening. The best part? They can be chucked into the washing machine and reused time and time again without loosing their luxurious feeling.

I am hooked! If you have used these I would love to hear your feedback!

Laura Loves... Dream Dots for Spots

Drop the toothpaste, sudocrem or whatever else your using to dry up those pesky pimples. Pick up a pack of Dream Dots for Spots!
We all suffer from those pesky pimples at some point and it always seems to be when we have a big night out or an event coming up. I have been using Dream Dots for a while now and have to say they are the holy grail quick fix for clearing spots asap!

After your nighttime skincare ritual but before applying your moisturiser peel off a single Dream Dot and place it directly on top of the spot (you may apply your moisturiser after). The Dot creates a silky feel second skin, waterproof seal that prevents any further dirt or bacteria entering your spot while it works overnight to remove pus and heal it. In the morning the peel the Dot off and reveal that the spot is visibly clearer, redness is reduced and it's less painful. Magic!

Dream Dots are non invasive and gentle working on the skin so this process can be repeated again until the spot has cleared.
I love this product! There are loads of Dots in the packet so your definitely getting good value! It has now become my go to product when I feel a spot coming and it definitely gets the "Laura Loves" seal of approval!

Hope you enjoyed this post. If you have used this product before I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Spring Wedding Outfit

Hi guys I was recently at a wedding and EVERYONE kept asking me where I got my outfit from!
So I decided to do a blog post about it and spill the beans!
You won't believe how purse friendly the skirt is...
Skirt / Romwe (get it here)
Top / River Island (get it here)
Heels / Miss Selfridge (get them here)
Necklace / River Island (get it here)
Bag / DKNY (get it here)
Assortment of Rings / River Island
Watch / Michael Kors

I have to say the quality of this skirt is amazing, its lined and the fabric is so thick. It didn't crease at all and remained in shape all day and night! I cant believe I bought it for such a bargain!
The top is super feminine, its the perfect amount of sheer and just drapes effortlessly over the body. The cropped shape sat perfectly upon the skirts waistband and the blush colour really complimented the floral blossoms in the skirt.
I spotted the necklace in the accessories section on the way to the till when I was purchasing my top. The pictures make it hard to appreciate how beautiful the necklace really is. It's so eye catching, the blush colour of the stones perfectly matched the top and it looks way more expensive than it is. (It definitely makes a statement so I kept other accessories to a minimum).
The heels I picked up by chance I had an old pair in mind but when I put these on my feet I knew I had to own them. I was able to wear them all day long as the block heel and the thick ankle strap makes them super comfy and easy to walk (and dance) in!

Below are a couple of photos taken during the evening with some of my favorite people!:

The outfit was so comfortable throughout the whole day! As we all know weddings are long days full of food, drinks and partying so it's essential to wear something comfy! The weather was so beautiful that I didn't even need my cream scalloped cropped blazer over my shoulders (but I was raging that I forgot my sunnies)!

I hope you all liked my latest outfit post. I hope it has given you some fashion inspiration for wedding season and it just goes to show you don't need to spend big bucks to put together a special outfit.
